The 13 Districts of Ytinu City: A Complete Map

Ytinu City is structured around 13 districts, each governed by one house. The districts are archetypal territories — each defined by an element, a creature, a Kabbalistic node, a planetary ruler, and a motto that captures the nature of the people who belong there. But the map is more than a list. The city has a layout, and the layout is the point: rivals are separated, allies are positioned close, and the geography follows the relationships. This is the complete map, read the way the city was designed to be read.

How to Read the Map

The whole city sits inside an outer wall, a boundary that marks where Ytinu ends and the failing system begins. A compass orients it: north, south, east, west. Two rivers cut it into sides — the Void Channel runs vertically down the east, separating the forge quarter from the centre; the Tidal Divide runs down the west. Five named quadrants spread out from the middle, and long-distance alliances are drawn as cross-city trade routes connecting allied houses on opposite sides. Once you know the layout, you can place any house by its element alone.

At the dead centre is Sovereign Square, the governing plaza, occupied by District 7 — The Sovereign Mind · The Architects (Element: Thought · Creature: Sphinx · Node: Binah, Understanding · Planet: Saturn / Mercury · "The mind that rules itself rules everything else."). It is the governing spire of the city — research, development, and governance design — and everything else is positioned in relation to it. Read the four quadrants outward from this centre.

The Deep District — South (the Foundation)

  • District 1 — The Obsidian Order · The Verdant. Element: Earth · Creature: Golem · Node: Malkuth (Kingdom) · Planet: Saturn. "What we build does not fall."
  • District 6 — The Luminous Creed · The Illuminated. Element: Light · Creature: Seraphim · Node: Tiphareth (Beauty) · Planet: Sun / Venus. "Truth does not ask permission to be seen."
  • District 10 — The Umbral Veil · The Bloodline. Element: Shadow · Creature: Vampire · Node: Chokmah (Wisdom) · Planet: Pluto / Moon. "The most powerful thing in the room is never the loudest."
  • District 12 — The Chrono Syndicate · The Paradox. Element: Time · Creature: Ouroboros · Node: Ain Soph Aur (Infinite Light) · Planet: Saturn / Pluto. "Everyone runs out of time. Except us."

The Northern Heights — North (the Sky and Storm)

  • District 4 — The Zephyr Ascendancy · The Unyielding. Element: Air · Creature: Pegasus · Node: Ain (Nothingness) · Planet: Uranus. "We think where others cannot breathe."
  • District 11 — The Aetherion Assembly · The Oracle. Element: Ether · Creature: Ophanim · Node: Kether (Crown) · Planet: Neptune / Uranus. "We perceive what has not yet been named."
  • District 8 — The Volt Vanguard · The Ascendants. Element: Electric · Creature: Dragon · Node: Chesed (Mercy) · Planet: Uranus / Jupiter. "We move first. We ask later."

The Tidal Expanse — West (the Flow)

  • District 2 — The Tidal Covenant · The Unbound. Element: Water · Creature: Leviathan · Node: Yesod (Foundation) · Planet: Moon / Neptune. "Water finds a way. We already have."
  • District 5 — The Echo Syndicate · The Resonance. Element: Sound · Creature: Siren · Node: Hod (Splendour) · Planet: Mercury / Venus. "We don't follow culture. We emit it."
  • District 9 — The Polaris Dominion · The Oathbound. Element: Magnetism · Creature: Griffin · Node: Netzach (Victory) · Planet: Venus / Neptune. "We do not chase. Things align toward us."

The Forge District and the Void Expanse — East and South-East

  • District 3 — The Ember Lineage · The Flameborn. Element: Fire · Creature: Phoenix · Node: Geburah (Strength) · Planet: Mars. "Pressure does not break us. It defines us." The forge quarter, on the far east edge beyond the Void Channel.
  • District 13 — The Null Dominion · The Voidwalkers. Element: Void · Creature: Fenrir · Node: Daath (the Hidden Sephirah) · Planet: Pluto / Eris. "There are no rules here. There never were." The Void Expanse, south-east — and the house that holds permanent constitutional veto over all the others.

Why the Geography Means Something

The placement is not random. Rivals sit on opposite sides of the city so their tension is structural, not personal — and allies are neighbours so cooperation is the path of least resistance. The cross-city trade routes draw the long-distance alliances that survive the distance anyway: 2↔10 (Unbound and Bloodline), 3↔6 (Flameborn and Illuminated), and 11↔13 (Oracle and Voidwalkers). The thirteenth house guards the edge precisely because the city's deepest rule is that the unknown must never be zoned out of existence.

Element explains position better than any street grid could. The sky-and-storm houses — air, ether, electric — rise together in the north because their natures are kin. The slow, permanent, foundational houses — earth, light, shadow, time — settle low in the south, in the quadrant literally called the foundation. The flowing houses — water, sound, magnetism — pool along the western expanse where movement is the point. Fire takes the far eastern forge quarter, kept apart by the Void Channel because intensity needs distance. And void takes the south-eastern edge, beyond the others, because the unknowable belongs at the border by definition. You do not need to memorise the map. You need to know the element, and the element tells you where to stand. That is the difference between geography drawn for decoration and geography drawn from meaning: here, the second a house's nature is fixed, its place on the map is already decided.

Inside Ytinu City

Every member chooses one district to belong to — one house, one choice, no switching — and that choice is never assigned by purchase or rank. The Thirteen Are Equal: none of these districts sits above another, even the central one. Thirteen districts. Thirteen houses. Thirteen circles in the Fruit of Life. 13 = Echad = Unity. The city's shape is not decoration laid over a brand — it is the same number that hides inside the name, and the map was always going to be this shape. To stand in any one district is to take a position inside a structure that was drawn from sacred geometry before a single wall went up.

Decode why the number is thirteen in Ytinu is Unity spelled backwards, see how the whole city is being assembled in a prototype civilisation in real time, learn how the economy runs through the Unity Vault, and find your founding position through the Foundation Pass.
